Behavioral interview questions
Behavioral interview questions given by our experienced mentors
Preparing for behavioral interview questions early is essential because these questions assess how you’ve handled real situations in the past. Employers use them to predict your future performance and check if you fit the role and company culture. Without preparation, you may struggle to recall relevant experiences or structure your answers clearly.
To prepare effectively:
Use the STAR method – Structure your answers by explaining the Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This helps you stay focused and ensures your responses are complete.
Review the job description – Identify key skills and match them to your experiences. Prepare examples that show you’ve used those skills.
Practice common questions – Focus on themes like teamwork, conflict resolution, leadership, problem-solving, and time management.
Record and review your answers – Practicing out loud or recording yourself helps you notice unclear responses and improve delivery.
Get feedback – Practice with someone who can give honest input on your answers and body language. Keep your eye on CALI workshops, where you can get feedback from experienced mentors.
